Merry Christmas from my animal family (and me)

December 25, 2007 / (12) comments

If my recent rash of whiny, self-indulgent posts haven’t put you off this blog forever, then here’s to a very Merry Christmas from Vincent and Sophie, Dart, Helen, Poppy…and me. Here are a few pics…silly and sweet, I think, from my recent photo session (I finally gave in and had a few proper pics taken, as some of you suggested I should). I know it’s self indulgent, too, but I couldn’t resist.

Have a very happy holiday! From…

Vincent and Sophie Sue…

Poppy…

Dart…

And Helen!

(Btw, Helen still needs a home!)

Patty, I'm really glad to hear that Sophie is still with you. I'm in Utah and just catching up on your posts. I do hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a great New Year.

Dear Dr. Patty: What a wonderful family you have. No wonder you are such a beautiful person. Merry Christmas and the best New Year you've ever had.

Here is an even better gallery of corn snake colors and patterns. http://www.reptileallsorts.com/cornphase/index.htm...

Dart is a corn snake. Corn snakes are gentle and beautiful (and they breed easily in captivity), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corn_Snake Start on this page, http://www.moreptiles.com/normal.htm , and page thru the gallery to see an amazing array of collors and patterns that have been developed in captive-bred corn snakes.

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas, and here's to a year full of wee snakes with wee Santa hats.

Merry Christmas to you and all your four-legged friends, too. I often think the work of vets can be a pretty thankless job, but if it weren't for people like you and the other wonderful veterinarians I've had the privilege to know and work with, all of our lives would be emptier. Thanks for everything. By the way, I enjoy your personal posts (the ones you erroneously refer to as "whiny and self-indulgent") as much as your strictly veterinary-medicine-related ones.

Cheers, and happy New Year to you and yours too.

P.S. My goats say hi to Poppy. (We've got a small herd of Boer cross goats that we raise for meat, and who have been instrumental in helping my family to reclaim our land for farming usage. And they're awfully cute, too -- and sometimes too d*mn smart for their own good!)

Best wishes to you and your son, as well as "all creatures great and small" in your family. Thank you for all you do to keep us informed, and making us think, ask questions, and generally make us better pet owners, animal lovers, and hopefully, just all-around better people when it comes to the voiceless animal kingdom, for whom WE are their voices.
