Q. My dog no longer wants to sleep in her kennel so we changed where she sleeps and she was fine for a year and no refuses again so we don't get sleep.
A. Why are you allowing her to decide whether or not she sleeps in her kennel? Dogs should not set the house rules. Put her back in the kennel and leave her there. The important thing is that you do not go back to her for any reason . . . Not to scold her or reassure her. She will probably carry on for a few nights, but it will be short-term and, if you don't give in, she will stop fussing and accept the crate.
