Q. My Boston terrier has fluid on his stomach will a water pill help to relieve the water pressure
A. Please do not give any medeication to your dog without the expres approval of your vet. It is important to have the dog checked to determine why there is fluid buildup, as this may be a sign of something more serious--heart failure, liver disease, tumor, etc. It may be that the fluid is not exactly in his stomach, but rather in his abdomen (a larger body cavity housing many organs). The vet will need to take a sample of the fluid, and do some other tests, to make a definitive diagnosis and recommend the appropriate treatment.
