A. While this could be an intensified allergic reaction (since you mentioned that he's always had red eyes) I strongly recommend you get this checked out. Red eyes are considered a veterinary emergency, mainly because they could be indicative of glaucoma, which is a very painful an serious condition that can result in loss of sight. It's definitely possible that it's not something serious, but the first job is to make sure it isn't.
