Q. My dog has been blind for about 2 years now with cloudiness in both eyes. This morning 1 eye is no longer cloudy and she's blinking a lot????
DR. CHRISTIE LONG, D.V.M., C.V.A.
A. Blinking excessively is often a sign of severe eye pain. I would get her checked out ASAP. The changes you're seeing could represent a cataract that has "slipped" and is now blockage the eye's natural drainage angle, which results in tremendous pressure inside the eye. This is an intensely painful condition and needs emergency treatment.
