A. It's worth adding that this could also be an anal gland issue. Dogs have 2 glands, one at 4 o'clock and one at 8 o'clock in relation to the anus, but just outside it. They can become impacted and infected, especially if she's had diarrhea (you mentioned more pooping in the last few weeks) or soft frequent stool. When the glands aren't getting emptied naturally they become more prone to infection, and they may rupture and bleed. Regardless - anal bleeding is always a sign that medical attention is warranted so get her checked out.

A. At his age bleeding from the anus could be a sign of a serious condition such as a tumor for example. i strongly recommend taking him to the vet in order to get him checked, probably do a blood test as well, hopefully it's nothing too bad.
