Q. Sometimes my yorkiie will roam with her head down and her tail between her legs (so to speak) I try to console her but it is not working.
A. Unless she has an injury which you think may be causing this I would lean more toward being a submissive or even sulky behaviour. I would be curious to know what happens right before she does this (did she do something bad, a loud noise or voice scare her etc). If that is the case, you consoling her can actually reinforce the behaviour. I know this sounds a little back wards but if she is say scared and you console you she can interprete that as how she is supposed to react when that scary thing happens. The best thing to do is ignore the behaviour so you are not punishing her or rewarding her for it.
