Q. Have a Jack Russel male about 5 yrs old. He eats quickly and lately he throws up his food after eating. Food is the same, Blue Buffalo. Seems normal.

A. I agree with what both of the doctors had mentioned here. They are puzzle bowls which my dogs absolutely love. Another thing that could be helpful is elevating the food and water so placing them 6 to 8 inches off of the ground. I am concerned that your dog has what we call a megaesophagus. It is a condition that is manageable but they tend to regurgitate their food after eating. I can be helpful to hold them in a vertical position for five minutes after feeding to help the food move into the stomach. I would speak with your veterinarian in more detail about this.

A. Sometimes when dogs eat to fat or can cause then to regurgitate their food afterwards. I would try putting a hard ball in his dish so he has to work around it and can not gulp his food. You could also try to feed him a handful at a time to slow him down. See if this changes and helps. Hopefully by slowing him down, this doesn't happen anymore

If it continues you may want to take him for a check up to rule out another cause

A. Try buying a bowl that will prevent him to eat that quickly, you can buy those bowls online or in any pet shop, here are some example of those bowls:
