Q. OUR VET looked and SAID YEAST INFECTION IN CATS EARS. SHE HAS HAD 10 days Tresaderm and 2 treatments B N T.something still going on....
DR. LEIGH PUSATERI, DVM
A. If your cat still has an ear infection after treatment then your vet may need to do a culture and sensitivity to determine the exact organisms present and the appropriate medication needed. Some infections can have organism that are resistant to certain medications. A culture and sensitivity would provide that information. Take your cat in for a recheck and ask about doing a culture and sensitivity test, especially if the infection hasn't improved much. If there has been some improvement than your vet could treat longer with the tresaderm to see if it would resolve.
