A. While this was unfortunate, there is probably no damage done. Make sure to keep the dog inside and warm. Examine the skin on the extremities (toes, tail, nose and ears) for any signs of frostbite or damage from the cold. Look for discoloration or pain when touched. Monitor him for any signs of illness over the next few days (lethargy, coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, etc). I would expect the little dog will be fine, but some extra TLC and observation over the next few days should catch any problems.
