Q. My 12 year old Golden Retriever had a heat cycle and hasn't stopped bleeding. She is not spayed and did not have her first heat cycle until she was 10

A. I would recommend to take her to your veterinarian. Those signs you are describing can be compatible with an infection of the genital tract. Vaginitis or pyometra are possible. Pyometra ( purulent infection of the uterus)needs immediate attention as it could turn to be a medical emergency.

A. this is highly abnormal and I suspect she has developed a uterine infection (pyometra). Is she eating normally? is she lethargic? does she show signs of pain or discomfort? is she drinking a lot? if she is having any of those symptoms it's probably very serious, she will probably need to have a surgery to get her uterus removed. This is considered to be an emergency so I advice you to take her to the vet ASAP.
