Q. My cat has a brown spot on the bottom of his eyeball.. Should I be worried about. Is it a scar. My other cat smacks him a lot in his head an eye.

A. It could be due to a trauma but the condition you are describing is usually a change of pigmentation of the eye and is not consider to be dangerous, however in some cases that could also be a malignant tumor of the eye. For that reason I would idealy advise you to get it checked by a veterinarian ophtalmologist.

A. A brown spot could be indicative of trauma or damage to the cornea. I'd highly recommend having this examined by a veterinarian. Leaving this untreated can compromise your cat's eye and cause loss of vision or infection. Your vet will be able to perform an ophthalmic exam to determine the cause and recommend treatment accordingly.
