Q. My 2 yr old male cat had diarrhoea. He's spent 1 night in pet hospital and a day on a drip. One vet says his heart rate is 156, another vet said 100

A. A cat can have a different heart rate in different times. Usually once the cat get properly hydrated and gets pain relief the heart rate will go down, and this could happen in a very short interval (sometimes within minutes.
Once the diarrhea stops and no vomiting is present - if the cat is eating then it's a good sign, usually from this point treatment can be given at home.
