A. For a wound that penetrates deep and shows bone I would expect there to be a lot of bleeding invovled. You may be seeing the muscle fascia (which an also be white) and not the actual bone.
If it is muscle fascia that means the puncture has gone through several layers deep and depending on how wide this area is, most likely will need sutures or staples to help close the area and facilitate quick healing after it is thoroughly cleansed aseptically so as not to create any further complications of this type of injury. So I would most definitely have a doctor take a look at this wound, based on your description, because chances are it needs to be closed and properly tended to.
