Q. i have a cocker spaniel over a year old . lately he is having a lot of ticks problem. almost 30 ticks is removed in a couple of days . please guide me

A. There is also a potential for disease transmission (I.e. Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and other depending on which is endemic in your area) from the ticks. Your vet may want to do a prophylactic antibiotic treatment for any possible disease transmission but this has not shown to be completely preventative of disease and is done on an individual basis.

A. Ok so you have to get a tick preventative to keep the ticks off and repel them. My top picks are:
1) Nexgard- tablet (1 month protection from fleas and ticks)
2) Seresto collar (very safe, lasts up to 8 months!, newer product)
3) Preventic collar (3 month protection, not recommended if small children or other pets will chew on the collar, discuss more with your vet)
All 3 of these are high quality vet approved products so getting them through your vet is recommended to ensure no tampering or decreased efficacy and also warranty guarantee of the product.
