Q. Why does my kitten [male] attack his older brother'
LINDSEY EDWARDS MVB, BSC, IVCA
A. Playfighting is very common between cats but true inter-cat aggression can also exist, particularly if you have two un-neutered males in the house as they compete for dominance and territory. Be sure to provide plenty of escape routes for them to avoid each other; separate areas for litter, food and water in different rooms is also important to prevent guarding of important resources creating tension between them. Phermomone products and natural supplements containing tryptophan, b vitamins and casein derivatives may help to restore harmony also. I advise neutering both if this has not been done already
