Q. My dog ate a whole nylabone
DR. ANDREA M. BRODIE, DVM
A. That is not good. If this happened within the past several hours you should take her to the pet ER so the vet can make him throw up and hopefully regurgitate the bone. If your dog chewed up the bone well, ie did not swallow it whole or in a few big pieces, it may not be such a big worry and you could probably just monitor your dog for vomiting, diarrhea , lethargy within the next 48 hours. Also watch his feces for fragments of the nylabone. When in doubt or worried, please take your dog to a vet.
