A. At the age of 7 months both testicles should have descended, ie should be in the scrotum (sack). If this is not the case then one testicle sort of got stuck on the way down. This is problematic as retained testicles can become cancerous later in life. Sometimes a dog can pull up a testicle , so it is beneficial to have a vet look at your dog and determine whether he is indeed a cryptorchid (that is the proper term for a dog with a retained testicle). When you have your dog neutered the vet can look for and find the retained testicle and remove it as well.
