Q. Suddenly wants to be physically attached to you as if begging for protecon
A. (sorry, posted before I was finisished) As always, make sure to provide her with lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Go for walks, runs, play fetch, get her involved in agility, flyball, playdates with other dogs, go for rides and take her with you wherever you can. Make sure she has plenty of toys (Kong toys are excellent for providing lots of distraction in a durable form.) even feed her treats or her meals from a puzzle ball or feeder to provide lots of mental stimulation, in short, anything and everything to wear her out physically and mentally. A tired dog is a happy, calm dog.
A. Any sudden change in behavior should first be investigated by your vet to make sure there isn't an underlying medical cause for sudden anxiety. If she is medically sound, then something may have happened to frighten her. Check around outside for any signs of disturbance or anything that may have triggered this behavior. If the behavior does not resolve, you may consider consulting with a trainer about ways to calm her. As always,
