Q. My dogs breathing sounds strange. He'll seem to wheeze or cough once or twice then be fine but at rest it's a quiet wheezing. It doesn't seem labored
A. Any change or difficulty breathing should be investigated, especially if it is sudden. Your dog could be having an allergic reaction, have chewed or swallowed something that irritated his throat, or could be developing an upper respiratory infection, to name a few possibilities. He's young to have a growth in his throat but it is possible. I recommend getting him seen by your vet as soon as possible for an exam and possibly x-rays to determine the reason for the harsh breathing sounds.
