A. Additionally, doxycycline should not be given using cheese or any dairy product. Dairy products can interfere with or decrease absorption of the antibiotic. This will result in under dosing of a pet.
A. Recheck with your veterinarian. Consider other conditions that may be the underlying cause. A thorough history and complete physical exam may provide a diagnosis. If not, additional diagnostics such as chest xrays, blood work, echocardiogram or a trans tracheal wash and culture may provide answers.
