Q. I have a small dog and found her drinking far too much water and vomiting right after. She seems subdue and doesn't want to eat. Should I be worried?
A. Don't let her gorge on water. Offer water only in small amounts. Feed a bland diet served warm or mix in some baby food to stimulate the appetite. If the vomiting and thirst persist, have her seen by your vet for an exam and blood work. The excessive thirst may be due to a developing renal condition, pancreatic dysfunction or hormonal imbalance.
