Q. My kitten had seizures 2 weeks ago. It went blind then and till now has not shown any improvement. What should I do?
A. Monitor for additional seizure activity. Consider a consult with a veterinary neurologist if more seizures are observed. Start a Seizure Log. Record data such as time of day/night, duration, description, diet, activity, etc. Around each episode. This may help your vet pinpoint a cause or triggers. A consult and exam with a veterinary ophthalmologist for a complete eye exam may diagnose causes for the blindness and may provide a prognosis.
