Q. I think my cat has been poisoned and I cannot afford a vet what do I do she's been sluggish withdrawn vomiting she keeps fluids down
A. She should be seen by your vet for supportive care. Bloodwork may help in diagnosing her condition or to see which systems were affected if she was poisoned. If this is not possible, try withholding food for 12-24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet ( boiled boneless / skinless chicken and plain white rice) in small, frequent amounts. If the vomiting stops, transition slowly to the regular diet. If not, you will need to seek some sort of veterinary attention.
