Q. Can you use hydracortizon creamon scabby patches that my cat has. She takes phenobarbital for siezures. Could that cause the rash??
A. It is unlikely that the skin changes are due to Phenobarbitone. Skin side effects has been described in humane but I don't think it has been reported in cats. Skin patches could be due to bacterial infection or ringworm so using steroids would be contraindicated. You should take your cat your vets to find out what the scabs are. If these changes are due to allergy then hydrocortizon would be the right drug to go for.
