Q. I tried to get my American Eskimo Dogs weight info, but the breed is not in your data base. The AKC has recognized it for some years. Please advise.

Answered By

A. Here is the official AKC standards list for the American Eskimo which may be some help for you! http://www.akc.org/breeds/american_eskimo_dog/breed_standard.cfm

The breed is listed as between 6-25 pounds depending on the type of Eskie you have. Toys are 6-10 pounds, Miniatures 10-17 pounds and Standards 18-25 pounds, however the AKC does not recognize these sizes as distinct.
