Q. If a cat stops breathing what is the brst
thing to do?
JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. If your cat has stopped breathing it is a medical emergency and you should bring him or her to your vet or emergency clinic immediately. One the way over, checking for any airway obstructions in the mouth such as a stick or piece of food that can be removed is best, however if it is lodged firmly, your vet will need to safely remove it for you. If you know pet CPR, you can perform this on the way to the clinic if both breathing and heart have stopped.
