A. If your dog is refusing his pills you may need to get creative in how you give them. Many pet stores offer commercial "pill pockets" where you can hide the pills in a treat. Using cheez whiz, chicken pieces or even hamburger meatballs with the pills hidden inside may encourage him to eat it as well. You can also place the pill in the corner of his mouth toward the back, and then give a squire of water with a syringe to cause him to swallow the pill. If however he appears to not want to take his pills due to worsening illness, or he has changes in his symptoms, contacting your regular veterinarian is best.
