A. It is possible his mouth is still recovering from the tooth removal, making chewing his food hard and causing him to lose his appetite or have some diarrhea. If he is on a dry food diet, moistening the food with some water to make a mush may help. Digestive upset, pain and GI issues can all cause the change to appetite as well as diarrhea. Bringing in a stool sample to check for common problems, or starting a probiotic for cats may also help.
However, if the symptoms continue, or you see other symptoms in addition to the diarrhea such as weight loss or vomiting, then scheduling a vet visit for a full exam is best.
