JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. Rapid heart rate or difficulty breathing could be an indication that your ferret is in distress. If you are seeing other symptoms such as blue tongue or gums, gasping for air or loss of consciousness it may indicate a medical emergency and she should be brought to a vet or ER clinic immediately. It is best to schedule a veterinary visit if the symptoms continue for more than a few hours or you see other signs of illness.
