Q. My dog just eat a little bit but latterly he lay a round and trying I change his food
JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. Lethargy or decrease in appetite may indicate digestive distress or another illness. While changing the food may help (and should be done over a period of 7-9 days to decrease upsetting the GI tract more), having your dog examined if he continues to be ill is best. You may also want to bring in a sample of your dog's stool so that it can be checked for parasites and other common issues that could cause lethargy and loss of appetite. If your dog is vomiting or having diarrhea, bland boiled chicken and rice may help to settle his stomach until you can get to the vet.
