Q. CAN ENLAPRIL AND LASIX BE DISSOLVED IN WATER FOR A DOG. OH PLEASE TELL ME
JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. It is best to not crush or attempt to alter medications unless instructed by your vet. If your dog is having trouble taking the meds, you can try hiding them in a soft food such as a piece of lean meat or cheese, or even a pill pocket. Capsules should not be opened as it can change the dosage of the medication. You can also try giving the pill manually and then squirting in a syringe full of water afterwards to get your dog to swallow the pill without having to try dissolving it in water.
