Q. Can fleas travel from one apartment to another? and if I bomb my home will they come back
JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. Flea eggs can certainly be transferred from home to home if they are on an infected animal or in clothing and bedding that is brought over. It is best to thoroughly wash any frequented areas or articles that may be affected prior to moving them to a new location. Treating your cat with a monthly flea preventive will also help to decrease and prevent the population from entering the new home. Vacuuming the house especially along areas where carpeting meets the walls can help to remove flea eggs in the environment. Eggs can stay dormant in the environment for months until the right conditions are met for hatching, so keeping things cleaned up will be beneficial.
