Q. I have a garden snake that I have had for 4 months now.He has one scale that is up and I think he may have a blister I'm not sure. What do I do?
JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. It is possible your snake rubbed on something in his environment that caused an abrasion, so checking the area for rough surfaces is a good first step. It is also best to just keep an eye on the affected area, and to monitor it for any changes or signs of infection such as growing in size, oozing debris, etc. If it does spread, or begins to ooze debris, then having an exotics vet take a look may be best.
