Q. I have a persian cat (almost 8 years old) and lately she cries so loud, like she is in distress. What could be the cause ?
JESSICA L DESROSIERS
A. Loud vocalizations and crying may indicate pain or distress. It is best to schedule a veterinary appointment if she appears in pain or distress or has other symptoms of illness. If you are seeing signs of an emergency such as difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, extreme pain or pale/blue tongue and gums it is best to seek care at your vet or ER clinic immediately.
