Q. My Shepherd mix lately follows me everywhere. In bed has to be close to me, laying on my head and on the couch she she tries to get on back cushion

A. If you haven't done so yet, if it's a new behavior check with the vet that there is no underlying health issue. Otherwise maybe something happened that has triggered a bit of anxiety. She will need help learning it's okay to have some solo time. If you have a bed for her, try turning that into a much more inviting space by offering special chews and treats only on her bed and ignoring her if she demands attention. If she keeps jumping on the couch, keep luring her down and luring her to her bed while saying "bed" and eventually she should stop. A good idea is to have the bed on the floor next to the side of the couch you sit at most. That way she still has close comfort of being near you without crowding you.
