Q. My puppy won't sleep, is this normal?

A. Forgot to add, puppy will get better over time but placing a t shirt you have worn in the crate with him and getting Comfort Zone spray or plug in diffuser should also help in the meantime.

A. It is common for young puppies, especially newly adopted, to need attention. If you haven't yet, try setting puppy up with a crate with a nice comfy bed, some toys, and tasty treats. Keep this space positive and inviting and place a blanket over it allowing space for air flow. This will help create more of a cozy den like feeling. Make sure puppy is not fed or given water at least 2 hours prior to bed time and that pup has been let out to potty right before bed. You can also have a nice half hour or so of play time and/or a walk prior to bed to tire him/her out. If puppy wakes in the middle of the night crying, may new to potty. Without a lot of excitement, take to potty and then back in crate.
