Q. My cat absolutely refuses wet food and dry food has been causing constipation issues. Any advice?
A. Continue with dry food, but make sure it's a good high fiber diet, like Hill's r/d or w/d.
Also, encourage your cat to drink more. You have different ways to do this: don't place the water bowl close to the food bowl, let the tap water run when your cat is nearby, or buy a water fountain for cats. Hydrating your pet is a great way to solve constipation problems. If your cat is still having problems, you can also try adding a small amount of water to the dry food.
