Q. I have shampooed the dog, applied front line, washed all bedding, used powder and bombs and a spray which kills eggs and larvae, but to no avail
A. Sometimes it can take several months of treatment to get on top of the problem. Also remember that flea products will not stop the flea from jumping onto your pet but will kill it soon after contact or biting. This means if you live in an area where there are fleas you are still likely to see them but you know that they are being controlled. If the problem is still excessive it might be worth trying a different product. Have a chat with your vet to see if advocate may be more suitable for your needs. Also remember that over the counter products are not as effective as the prescription ones from your vet.
