Q. My dog throws up liquid that usually looks like mucus and is sometimes foamy. These bouts are usually followed by listlessness and no appetite.
A. We recommend starving for twelve hours if vomiting occurs and then gradually reintroduce a bland diet such as chicken or white fish. If the vomiting continues despite starving or it is very lethargic then you should see your vet or emergency vet straight away. If it is a regular problem then it needs to be discussed with your vet to rule out any medical problem and to look at the diet in detail.
